40th ADVENT CONCERT in the Vienna Imperial Chapel

On Mon., 8 Dec 2026, the advent concert of the Lions Club Wien Belvedere will take place for the 40th time in cooperation with the Vienna Court Music Ensemble in the Imperial Chapel. Ever since its establishment by Maximilian I in 1498 this historically so significant chapel has been home to the Vienna Court Music Ensemble and the boys choir of the Viennese Court, the predecessor of the Vienna Boys Choir. Additionally, the Imperial Chapel has wonderful acoustics.
Following the resounding successes of 2023, 2024 and 2025, it was once more possible to employ chamber singer Ildiko Raimondi for a delightful anniversary concert with students from her singing class at the Mozarteum University. Another well-known singer might also join the anniversary concert as a surprise guest.
The net proceeds will benefit young artists in training.
