For a whole five years the Accordion Festival has tried to invite the exceptionally talented accordionist Andrea Ulrich. Now the common schedules have finally aligned, and Ulrich will be performing with her ensemble as part of the International Accordion Festival in the Imperial Chapel.
In an unusual formation the three Swiss musicians forming the trio InterFolk present a thrilling mix of folk and world music. InterFolk demonstrates strikingly how diverse and versatile tradition and music can be. Own compositions stand on equal footing next to works of other composers. With great curiosity and a delight in experimentation the musicians explore new forms of expression, combine Old with New and enhance their sound spectrum with unconventional techniques on their instruments.
