The Waukee International Choir consists of talented students and is one of the leading school choirs in the Midwestern United States. The ensemble has already been named a national finalist for the American Prize in Choral Performance (2024). With its many years of experience performing in significant religious buildings such as St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican and St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, the choir brings an extraordinary sound culture to its tour of Austria and Germany.
The repertoire includes a careful selection of sacred a cappella music. Listeners can expect a musical journey ranging from classical works by Orlando di Lasso and Anton Bruckner to contemporary European and American compositions and spirituals.
