‘'Unerhört schön (Outrageously beautiful)’’ brings the human voice and the organ into an intimate dialogue, illuminating their historical and contemporary resonances: from Monteverdi’s rarely performed Messa a 4 voci to organ miniatures by Kurtág and Cerha to works by Sarah Nemtsov, Younghi Pagh-Paan and a world premiere by Chinese-German composer Ying Wang, which evokes the famous devil's ball scene from Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita. Unheard of in two senses – never heard before and of magical, touching beauty – a polyphonic floating and shimmering sound floods the entire chapel.
